Backed by vet-reviewed sources

Researched against trusted sources

We're not vets, and we don't pretend to be. Our health, food and safety guidance is researched and cross-checked against trusted veterinary sources — the AVMA, AKC and peer-reviewed research — and we always point you to your own vet for anything specific to your dog.

**Our honesty rule.** We don't test products hands-on, so every guide tells you exactly how we evaluated it — no pretend "as tested" badges, ever.

Why Honest Hound

## We started this because good advice shouldn't feel like a sales pitch.

When we brought home our own first puppy, the internet felt like one big upsell — loud rankings, thin advice, no one you could trust. So we built the opposite: warm, well-researched guidance — grounded in vet-reviewed sources — and gear we'd genuinely give our own dogs.

No pay-to-rank. No fear-mongering. Just honest help, so you can do right by your dog with confidence.
